It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the peaceful passing of Zdenka ‘Dennie’ Myslin, of Orillia, on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024, in her 100th year.  She was the beloved wife, and best friend, of the late Paul Myslin, for over 62 years.  Much loved mother of Margi (Gord, predeceased), Dennie (Mike), Flo, and Peter (Wendy).  Zdenka was the proud grandmother of Christopher (Katie), Heather (Liam), Martin (Hannah), David (Alex), Tyler (Michelle) and Lindsay (Steve).  She was blessed with 11 amazing great-grandchildren.

Zdenka is predeceased by her twin sisters, Jarka and Kveta, and survived by many nieces and nephews, and their families, in Canada, United States and Europe.

Mom lived a full life of exciting adventures and simple pleasures - always eager to travel and explore the world, share her traditional Czech dishes and treats, go for a stroll in the park or enjoy a challenging game of Solitaire.  She was a quiet, gentle lady who always greeted everyone with a friendly “Hello, hello” and appreciated the kindness of others with a heartfelt “Thank you, thank you, thank you”.  Mom was happiest when surrounded by her family, and we are grateful for her love and care. She will remain in our hearts forever.

Visitation will take place at Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia on Monday, September 23rd, 2024, from 10-11am, followed by a chapel service and reception. If desired, memorial donations to Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence are welcome at www.mundellfuneralhome.com
