Former school teacher, passed away on December 3, 2024, at Leacock Care Centre in Orillia, after a brief illness. She was 89.

Born on May 18, 1935, in Lindsay, ON, Audrey grew up on a farm near Oakwood, ON, the only child of Charles and Doris (nee Rich) Wooldridge. An avid pianist, who earned her Grade 8 Royal Conservatory certificate, she excelled at academics, graduating high school at the age of 17. She trained at the Peterborough Normal School to become an elementary school teacher. Her first post was at Fingerboard School, a one-room schoolhouse near Little Britain, ON. It was while boarding with a local farm family that she met Everett, her future husband of sixty-one years. Everett passed away in 2016.

Audrey often spoke fondly of the challenges and rewards of teaching eight grades in a single classroom as well as her later work with developmentally delayed students at the Huronia Regional Centre in Orillia.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Stephen (Mary-Anne) of Whitby, Chris (Andrea) of London and Carol-Anne (Brad) Johnston of Orillia. Also mourning her passing are her grandchildren, Allison Nicholls, Jocelyn (Steven) Kinio, Rob (Hillary) Nicholls, Diana (Ian) Nicholls Mutter, Tori Nicholls, Riley Johnston (Michael Bertulli) and Randi Johnston (Dylan Kelly). Audrey was the cherished great-grandmother of Theodore Nicholls Mutter, Raphael Nicholls Mutter and Gabriel Kino. A thank-you to all the staff At Leacock Care Centre's Cardinal House for the care and kindness they gave "Little Audrey".

A private family service was held at Mundell Funeral Home on Friday, December 13, 2024. Spring Interment: Little Britain United Church Cemetery.
