Mary Fern Rutherford died peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital in her 79th year. Fern was born in Orillia to the late Reginald Rutherford and Dora Buchanan Rutherford of Rugby. Predeceased by her brother Don Rutherford (Ina). Devoted mother to Janet Weldon (Stuart Murray) and Liz Weldon (Larry Woo). Cherished grandmother to Kate Murray and Callum Woo of Toronto. Survived by her former husband, Bob Weldon. Fern will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A celebration of life gathering will take place at the Rugby Community Hall (1911 Old Barrie Rd. E, Oro Medonte on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 1:00 to 4:00. Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
