SANDERSON, Doris Hazel

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 5 2018 at Spencer House, Orillia, in her 94th year. Doris was the beloved wife of the late Donald Clayton Sanderson for 71 years and a loving mother to daughter Patti and son Peter. Doris was predeceased by her parents Albert & Grace Godbehere, sister Joyce (Don Brownlee) and brother Ross & wife Joan Godbehere. She will be fondly remembered by her cousins Gae and Dorothy, as well as nieces, nephews, and all their families as well as many good friends. Patti and Peter wish to thank the staff at Spencer House (particularly Home Area 2) for their care & devotion to Doris. She loved to smile, laugh and sing, watch her beloved Blue Jays, and enjoyed being a long time member and volunteer of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary, Branch #34, Orillia, as well as the Couchiching Rebekah Lodge #100 for many years.  Cremation has taken place. Friends and relatives are invited to meet the family at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St., N., Orillia on Monday, July 9th from 3 - 5 & 7 - 9 pm. and on Tuesday, July 10th from 12 noon until time of Legion & Memorial Service in the chapel at 1 o'clock.  A reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #34, Orillia. If desired, memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #34, Orillia or the Alzheimer Society Simcoe County would be appreciated.
