It is with great sadness that the family of Trudy announces her passing. Trudy passed peacefully at her home in Orillia, Ontario on October 25, 2023 in her 88th year. Predeceased by her parents, Myra Giles Thompson and Lorne Thompson. Predeceased by her husband Peter Shipway. Loving mother of Susan Morrison (Mark), John Shipway (Shelley) and Jane Shipway (Gary). Cherished grandmother of Eric Willner, Laura MacLaughlin Miller, Kaitlin Shipway, Thomas Shipway and David Shipway. Great-grandmother to Tyler, Jackson, Austin, Malik, Tevyn and Axel.
Trudy enjoyed several years of belonging to the Washago Seniors Choir, where she enjoyed her love of music. She loved spending time with family, visits with her friends in her condo and sitting on the deck at Susan’s, enjoying a fancy cocktail. Always quick to smile and have a good laugh.
As per her wish, cremation has taken place. A small graveside service in Toronto will take place November 3rd.
