Margaret Audrey Olive Spurgeon passed away peacefully on Nov 24, 2024 at the age of 91. Beloved wife to her loving husband Cliff (pre-deceased) for 49 years. Mother to Trevor (Dee), Clive (Cairnlea) and Corinne (Jim).
She was a very proud Nanny to Tyler, Joshua, Tanner (Amanda), Ryan (Bekah), Liam (Mackenzie), Paige (Brendon) Kaleigh (Jeff), Emily (Eric), Allison (Scott) & Jonathan. Great Grandmother (Nanny) to Xander, Holden, Caden, Jackson, James, William, Skylar and Lucy. Mother-in-law to Val
Margaret was born in Harrow England in 1933 living her early years in London during the war. In the late 60’s she worked at Kodak and met Cliff who she married in 1971.
In 1973, they emigrated to Canada in search of a better life for their young family. She lovingly raised her family in Orillia after building their house on Maple Dr.
Margaret worked at the Orillia OPP detachment from 1975 until retirement in 1987. Since retirement her hobbies were gardening, ceramics and travel.
Her garden has been a source of joy for countless years. The ceramics became a retirement business when she went to craft shows to sell her creations. Their love of travel was infectious to the rest of the family and took her and Dad all over the world.
The family has lost a wonderful lady and she will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
