THOMPSON, Rose Marie (nee Sheppard)

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on March 4th, 2025 at the age of 77 years. Rose was born on February 29th, 1948, in Long Branch, now Etobicoke, Ontario, to Albert and Mary Sheppard – both predeceased. Loving mother of Billy (Sam), Lisa, and Jason (Rachel). Proud grandmother of Kaitara. Dear sister of Jim - predeceased, Ed (Sue), Andrea (Paul) and Micheal. Kind-hearted aunt to many nieces and nephews. Rose dedicated her life to caring for her family, foster children, and her beloved pets, always putting the needs of others before her own. She had a passion for cooking, often preparing meals to bring comfort and joy to those around her, and offering love and support, to everyone she encountered. Rose will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Cremation has taken place, and no services will be held at this time.
