It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Bryan James Tinney, a man of boundless warmth and kindness, who passed away peacefully in his sleep at Trillium Manor in Orillia on Thursday September 5th, 2024, at the age of 72. Bryan lived a life full of adventure and joy. From his passion for scuba diving and fishing to his infectious sense of humor, he lit up the world around him. Some of his fondest memories included riding motorcycles with his friends, an activity that brought him immense happiness.

Always open to helping others, his dedication extended beyond his personal life to his commitment as a proud blood donor. Bryan’s career was marked by his dedication and diligence, culminating in a well-earned retirement from Kubota. Cherished by all who had the fortune of knowing him, Bryan leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. His friends and family will carry his stories and joy in their hearts for many years to come. He is predeceased by his parents, Rex and Mildred Tinney; sisters Coreen Johnstone (Larry) and Barb Totten; brother-in-law Jim Kelz; and granddaughter Eyriana Tinney.

Bryan is survived by all those that knew and loved him. Husband of Sandra Tinney; father of Tammy and Tyler (Mariel) Tinney; papa of Ainsley Tinney; brother of Dianne Lawrence, Sandra Durant (Henry), Brenda Kelz, Blaine (Eleanor), Randy (Dawn), Dwayne (Cindy), Brad (Jill) Tinney. Bryan will be greatly missed by his nephew David Totten (Sherri), and all of his other nephews, nieces, family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street East Orillia on Sunday September 15th, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service in the chapel at 12:00 p.m. A reception will follow. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the compassionate staff at Trillium Manor for their attentive care and support during Bryan’s time there. In honour of Bryan’s memory, the family invites contributions to the Trillium Manor Bus Fund (direct link on Bryan’s webpage) in lieu of flowers.
