Deborah Anne Townsend nee Britnell June 13th, 1950, in the city of Barrie. It is with profound sadness that we announce the very sudden passing of our Mum, Nana and Sister on February 7th 2025.
Debbie was a force to be recognized, a strong independent individual and compassionate woman.
She dedicated her life caring for the dying, elderly and people in need.
She was the loving wife of the late Ron Townsend (2007) loving Mum to Samantha Townsend (Dave Hastings) and Caroline Townsend.
Adored Nana to the late Antony Rew (2021), Brynn Townsend Edgar and Christian Martin Hastings. Loving sister and sister in law to the late Vicki Carter (2024) Connie Collis (Les Collis) 2022, Jackie Britnell (2024). Nick and Doris Britnell, Zane Britnell (2018), Candey Britnell, Jeff Johnson, Tim Britnell,(Elaine) and Bernie Higgins.
Debbie will be sorely missed by her many nieces and nephews and the many life's she touched.
Cremation has taken place at Debbie's request and a Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
We would like to thank the IOOF seniors home for the exceptional care she received the last few years, and the staff of the Cancer/Palliative Care floor for helping us navigate Mum's final days.
