Dorothy Merle (née Brotherston), passed away peacefully at Fairmount Home, Kingston, on April 24, 2018, at the age of 91. Merle Wallis, of Orillia, was the beloved wife of the late Nelson Wallis, and loving mother of Jean (Jim Wilson) of Kingston and Eleanor (Paul Chaplin) (David Marshall predeceased) of Bolton. Loving grandmother of Elizabeth Wilson (Matt), David Wilson (Janie), and Alison Marshall (Trevor) and great grandmother to Kaye and Arthur Wilson and Xevier Hill. Beloved sister of Margaret Downs (predeceased), Elda Johnson and Audrey Angrove, sister in law to Frances Armstrong and Charles Wallis, and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., on Tuesday May 1, 2018, at 2:00p.m.
Private Interment has taken place at Marchmont Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Marchmont Baptist Church or Yonge Street Mission would be appreciated.
