Was born in Toronto on May 27, 1925. She passed away peacefully at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital on October 10, 2022.
Claire was married to Waldemar (Wally) Weise from 1946 until his death in 2014. They had two children, Richard Weese and Janet Patton. Richard was married to Rita until her death in 2018. Janet married Bob Patton. Claire and Wally were long-time residents of Huntsville, Ontario. In their retirement, they spent winters in Florida. They later moved to Orillia where Claire was a familiar sight on neighbourhood streets striding along with her walking sticks until the age of 97.
She loved her extended family, her crafts, her dollar stores and a tipple of Captain Morgan. She will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren Andrew Mason (Catherine), Patrick Mason (Anouk) Laura Weese (Trevor) and Jean Weese (Ron). She loved hearing about her great-grandchildren Dylan, David, Travis, Emma, Marshall, Keanan, Ethan, and Savannah. She was proud to have been blessed with a great-great grandchild, Jayden. In keeping with Claire's wishes there will be no service. Donations may be made in her name to Soldier's Memorial Hospital.
