Passed away at Champlain Manor, Orillia, on Saturday July 21, 2018, in his 87th year. Royce Whittaker, beloved husband of Margaret Orser Whittaker (nee: Paxton). Predeceased by his first wife Katherine (Groves) Whittaker. Loving father of Caroline Tweedle (Don) of Pickering, Laurie Whittaker (Struan) of Galiano Island, B.C., Alex Whittaker of White Rock, B.C., Brad Whittaker of Orillia and step-father of Michelle Howard (Dave) of Orillia, Melanie Glass (Peter) of Orillia and Danny Orser (Gayle) of Gravenhurst. Proud grandfather of Cameron, Jonathan, Royce, Matthew (and families), Emily, Alex and Anna. Great grandfather of Luke, Peyton, Hope, Tate and Crosby. Predeceased by brothers Dalton (Lila, predeceased) and Kenneth (Isobel of North Bay). Following cremation, friends and relatives will be received at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia, on Saturday August 11, 2018 from 10 o’clock until the time of Memorial Service, in the chapel, at 12 noon. Interment: St. Andrew’s - St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.
