Joe Gough, Councillor, Ward 2, Ramara Township
Background
- Both my wife and I were raised in Uptergrove
- We live in Ward 2 on the Monck Road
- Worked in food service industry, where I was always hired by floundering restaurants to return them to profitability.
- Corporate trainer- traveled across Canada and the U.S. Training Tim Horton and Wendy's franchisees on back- office software.
- Successfully Self-employed in Financial services industry for 12 years. Selling life and disability insurance and mutual funds, building wealth for my clients and myself.
- Have successfully managed several multi-million-dollar-per-year businesses.
Concerns
- Growth: Ramara has been basically stagnant with very little development. We need a strong team to lobby the province to make changes to growth areas. We need to strengthen our relationship with Rama First Nation and partner with them to develop the Rama Road corridor.
- Continue to be fiscally responsible.
- Affordable Hi-speed internet for the whole township.
- Councils inability to make clear and concise decisions (ie. noise bylaw, Air B&Bs wasting time and our tax dollars.)
Why vote Joe Gough?
- Fresh face, fresh outlook and a COMMON SENSE approach
- Hard working and honest.
- Old-fashioned morals and values, where I say what I mean and mean what I say and most importantly do as I say
- Business background not limited to within township and transferable skills would be an asset on council.
- I will work to ensure Ramara remains a place my children, grandchildren and you and I are proud to call home.
It would be my privilege and honour to be your voice on council.
