I’m Ralph Hough and I am the Deputy Mayor of Oro-Medonte and I am seeking your support in re-electing me as Deputy Mayor.
It has been my privilege to represent the residents of Oro-Medonte since 1997 as a Ward Councillor and as Deputy Mayor since 2006.
Since being elected to Council I have always listened to residents before voting on important issues and I am confident my past voting record will speak for itself.
I have extensive experience at both the Township and County level which I believe is a big asset in serving our community.
Since I was first elected to council we have accomplished many things which have enhanced the lives of our residents including road paving, upgrading our parks and arena, LED street lights, renovations at the African Church and greater communications with our residents including the live streaming of our council meetings, to name a few.
I am involved with a number of volunteer activities including the Eady Community Hall and the Coldwater Canadiana Heritage Museum.
If re-elected I will continue to oppose budget increases at the township and county level that are not in line with the annual Consumer Price Index while at the same time providing a high level of service to our residents.
Some priorities for the new council are to continue to improve and maintain our road network, continue to improve recreation facilities for the benefit of all of our residents, young and old, to work with the school board to get the proposed school and recreation complex built, to work with the residents of Craighurst area and the developers to ensure that Craighurst is developed in an orderly, efficient manner and continue to improve high-speed internet service in our township
