Attempted kidnapping under investigation at CFB Borden

Military police are searching for a male suspect following an attempted kidnapping at CFB Borden last month. 

According to the Ontario Association of Crime Stoppers, which has issued a provincial alert, the alleged incident happened Oct. 14 at the local military base.

Crime Stoppers says the suspect was driving a dark-coloured hatchback and attempted to pull a woman into his vehicle on Dieppe Road at the base, which is located about 30 minutes west of Barrie.

The woman was able to free herself and the vehicle drove away.

The Canadian Forces National Investigation Service (CFNIS) hopes the public can help identify the suspect featured in the composite sketch that has been released.
