Driver charged with impaired after vehicle found lodged atop snowbank

SPRINGWATER TWP. — A local resident faces impaired driving charges after provincial police say a vehicle was found on top of a snowbank, with all four tires off the ground, Wednesday afternoon. 

Huronia West OPP says officers responded to a tip about a possible impaired driver on Jan. 8 around 12:30 p.m.

Police were told the vehicle was on South Orr Lake Road, heading eastbound toward Hillsdale.

Just before 1 p.m., police say officers in that area found a vehicle on top of a snowbank on the edge of a driveway. 

Dale Musack, 49, of Springwater Township, has been charged with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired (blood-alcohol and drugs) and operation of a motor vehicle while impaired (blood-alcohol concentration 80-plus).

None of the allegations have been tested in court.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
