MIDLAND - A 37-year-old Midland man died in local hospital today when the motorcycle he was driving crashed on William Street at about 4:28 p.m., according to an Ontario Provincial Police news release.
No other vehicles were involved in this crash.
William Street in the area of Gloucester Street and Bayview Drive will remain closed for several hours while investigators complete their scene investigation and clear the scene of debris.
Members of the OPP Technical Traffic Investigations unit (TTCI) are assisting Southern Georgian Bay Detachment officers looking into the cause of the crash. Investigators look into all factors that could have caused the incident including speed, helmet use, and the condition of the rider and motorcycle leading up to and including the time of the crash, the release said.
