A “sudden death” in the parking lot of a Tim Hortons has prompted a South Simcoe police investigation.
Officers were on the scene at the coffee shop on Bridge Street Saturday morning. Passersby could see a heavy police presence for a time, with part of the parking lot blocked off with pylons and yellow caution tape, and a white tarp covering a body.
There is no threat to public safety. Nor is foul play suspected.
Police have since cleared the scene.
