Barrie police say officers removed a GO train trespasser with outstanding warrants after he refused to leave a passenger car early this morning.
Just before 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, police say they were contacted by GO Transit in regard to a man who was pretending to be asleep on a train and refusing to leave.
Upon arrival at GO Transit's Allandale Yard, the 45-year-old man continued to be uncooperative with the responding officers and was arrested under the Trespass to Property Act, police said.
After confirming his identity, police say officers learned the man was wanted on outstanding warrants held by another police service.
Police said arrangements were made to meet officers from the GTA-based police service and, just before 4 a.m., he was transferred into their custody.
