Woman walks into OPP station, gets arrested for impaired driving

While speaking to the driver in relation to the original investigation, officers noted signs of impairment

An Armour Township woman was arrested for being impaired, after turning herself in to Almaguin OPP on a different matter.

On May 29, at 9:15 p.m., the driver turned herself in to officers at the detachment.

"While speaking to the driver in relation to the original investigation, officers noted signs of impairment," says Const. Brett McCulloch.

A 40-year-old female is charged with "operation while impaired — blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)" and "operation while impaired — alcohol."

Police did not name the accused who is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sundridge at a later date.
