A city councillor has backed out of the race to be Orillia’s next mayor.
Coun. Rob Kloostra, who announced in May he was “super excited” to run for the top political job, has withdrawn from the race, according to a list of candidates on the city’s website.
When reached by OrilliaMatters, Kloostra would not provide comment for an article.
