Two new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Simcoe County today

There are ten active, lab-confirmed cases in the county, with two people hospitalized; There were no new cases in Orillia, area today

The region's health unit has reported two new cases of COVID-19 today, which includes cases discovered since Friday. 

Among the new cases reported today is an Innisfil man between 18 and 34 years old. His case transmission is under investigation. 

The other case is a man from Essa who is also between 18 and 34 years old. His case transmission is under investigation as well. 

Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has reported 671 cases of COVID-19 to date, with 639 of those cases located in Simcoe County.

There are 624 cases now recovered and 37 people have died in the region. 

There are still 10 active cases in the county including residents from Barrie (3), New Tecumseth (2), Innisfil (3), Essa (1), and Ramara (1). There is one active case in Muskoka. One person from New Tecumseth and one person from Ramara is hospitalized with COVID-19.

In Simcoe-Muskoka, the incidence rate for the coronavirus is 112.9 cases per 100,000 people in the population.
