Having wreaked havoc on Ship Island over the years, cormorants have now infested Nadie Island. (Nadie Island is north of Atherley, close to Heron Island).

We, along with our neighbours on Couchiching Point, have been sadly watching the growing destruction of the trees on what had been a small pretty island.

Even with the introduction in 2020 of a fall hunting season it seems inevitable that Nadie Island will soon be as barren as Ship Island. The stench is already starting to adversely affect some residents' enjoyment of their backyards.

What a shame.
