Water main break caused problem in Severn Township village

Due to a water main break, a boil water advisory has been issued for Washago JUNE 26, 2018, beginning at 4 a.m. and will remain in effect until further notice.

System pressure should be restored June 26, 2018 before 4 p.m.

Boil Water will remain in affect till further notice. A boil water advisory has been issued for residents’ safety.

Boil water rapidly for a minimum of one (1) minute before use. Water for consumption must be boiled. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Personal hygiene
  • Brushing teeth 
  • Handwashing 
  • Food preparation 
  • Drinking water 
  • Hand washing of dishes 
  • Water supply for household animals

Showering for adults and teens in water that has not been boiled is acceptable. Children should be sponge bathed or showered with a hand-held showerhead, avoiding the face. Dishwashers with a hot setting are safe for use.

 Laundry can be done with water that has not been boiled.
