Visitors to Orillia's Tudhope Park will soon be able to slip, slide and dive their way into summer as the outdoor water park is about to open for another summer.

Officials say the Splash On park on the shore of Lake Couchiching, at Moose Beach, opens Saturday.

The Orillia location opened in 2018. The water is shallower and more warm at this beach compared to others, which makes the activity easily accessible. This water park is filled with smaller features, designed to be more approachable and perfect for younger kids, notes the company's website.

"We change layouts and equipment features each year to keep our customers on their toes," the website explains. The capacity is set at 120 people.

Children aged 5-8 require an adult chaperone to go on the water park with them. Chaperone passes are only available when accompanying a child 5-8 years old and are 50 per cent off regular pricing.

Children aged 9 and over are allowed to go on the water park alone, however a guardian must be within the beach area which does not require the purchase of an admissions pass.

All participants will be provided a personal flotation device, which must be worn at all times during the activity. All participants require a basic level of swimming ability.

The cost is $23 for kids and $11.50 for chaperones. That entitles participants to play at the park for two hours.

The company also has a facility, Splash-On WiBit Water Park, at Centennial Beach in Barrie. It has grown in both size and popularity since it first opened in 2017. That facility opened Friday.

"We haven't gotten much bigger length or width wise (but) we've filled in a whole lot," said Ajete Eggers, one of the managers of the Barrie location. "We are in the business of selling fun, so we want to make sure we switch things up ... it's bigger and better this year."

Eggers says it's a great way for people to make fun memories this summer.

"There's nowhere better you can go. You've got all the staff who are here having fun with you, and we are all trying to just make really great memories for everyone."
