An Orillia retiree is celebrating after winning the top prize on an Instant Bingo Multiplier ticket.
For the last five years, Cynthia Sherman has been buying a few instant lottery tickets each month.
Last month she was staying at a hotel while visiting a friend and she decided to play a ticket.
"I then took it to a nearby store to have it checked. When I realized I had won the top prize, I was left in disbelief,” Cynthia recalled. “It’s been a month since then and I still can’t believe it.”
The mother of two plans to invest and pay off some bills with her winnings.
“I’ve shared the news with close friends and family,” she added. “Everyone has been so lovely and happy for me.”
“Winning is an unreal feeling; it’s life altering! I never thought this would happen to me.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Westmount Drive South in Orillia.
