NEWS RELEASE

Chapter and Verse would like to thank its customers for their loyalty and support since we opened our doors by hosting a huge anniversary sale.

As one part of our celebratory events, an anniversary sale will feature a large variety of books and records that will be displayed on ‘toonie Tables.’ The sale starts at 10 a.m. on Aug. 30, continuing until 4 p.m. on Aug. 31.

Chapter and Verse is a used bookstore in Orillia that first opened its doors on Sept. 1, 2022. The store is owned and operated by Liah Twynstra, whose goal is to “rehome as many books and records that come our way as possible, in hopes to give them a new life.”

As featured in the August 2024 article of Neighbours of Horseshoe Valley and Shanty Bay magazine, “In September 2022, at just 15 years old, Liah opened her first bookstore, Chapter and Verse, in a cozy 65-square-foot space at 23 Mississaga St. W. in Orillia. Despite its small size, the store quickly became a beloved spot for book lovers. The space doubled twice in size as the store’s popularity grew, allowing Liah to offer a wider selection of books and host various events.”

Chapter and Verse’s anniversary sale starts at 10 a.m. on Aug. 30 and ends at 4 p.m. on Aug. 31. You can find out more about us on Facebook @ChapterandVerse or Instagram @Chapter_andVerse.

Store hours: Wednesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
