NEWS RELEASE
DOWNTOWN ORILLIA BIA
*************************
The Downtown Orillia BIA board of management would like to express their sincere gratitude to the many people involved in the recent Festive Holiday Weekend, which included the Children’s Candlelight Parade, the downtown Orillia Christmas tree lighting, the Orillia Santa Claus Parade and the Orillia Christmas Market.

On Friday night, downtown Orillia was a truly remarkable scene with over a thousand people gathered on the steps of the Orillia Opera House to witness hundreds of children walking up Mississaga Street with candles to symbolize the lighting of the new Christmas tree. Once lit, the tree drew a roar of approval from the crowd.

On Saturday, after the highly successful Orillia Christmas Market closed, Mississaga Street was filled with thousands of people who were eager to greet Jolly Old Saint Nick as the Orillia Santa Claus Parade organized by the Orillia District Chamber of Commerce.

Please join us in showing our appreciation to the following partners and individuals for their contributions to a perfect kickoff to the festive season:
