Museum's annual winter gala to feature renowned Canadian explorer

The Orillia Museum of Art and History (OMAH) is thrilled to announce its annual OMAH Winter Gala is taking place on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at Hawk Ridge Golf Club. This highly anticipated evening will feature renowned Canadian explorer and adventurer, Adam Shoalts, as the guest speaker.

Known for his remarkable expeditions across Canada’s wilderness, Adam Shoalts is set to captivate the audience with tales of his adventures and experiences. Sharing his passion for local heritage, Shoalts notes, “Visiting local museums and art galleries is something I enjoy a great deal whenever I travel across Canada. Many of these local museums have some incredible collections and treasures you can't find anywhere else. So I'm very excited to be taking part in the OMAH Winter Gala and look forward to sharing with the audience some photos and stories from my own wilderness journeys.”

This year’s gala promises an evening of inspiring stories, live entertainment with The Jazz Byrds, and delicious dining. We are delighted that Adam is also donating a few of his photographs, which will be framed and signed.

Tickets are on sale for $125 each or $900 for a table of eight. Due to high demand, tickets are selling quickly, and we encourage the community to secure their seats early.
