On Oct. 10, over 1,000 students from 17 Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) elementary schools will participate in the Primary Fun Run. This annual cross-country run will see students in Grades 1 through 3 participate in a one kilometre run through the outdoor facility at the Education Centre in Midhurst.

“Events like these encourage students to be physically active, promote well-being, and celebrate participation,” said Greg Jacobs, Superintendent of Special Education. “We are thrilled to see so many students participating and that SCDSB schools are prioritizing health and well-being.”

The first heat is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. followed by the second heat at 12 p.m.

This initiative links directly to the SCDSB Strategic Priorities in the areas of Well-being and Community.
