An Orillia man has been given a one-year conditional sentence for drug trafficking-related charges.
At the Orillia courthouse Tuesday morning, Daniel Aylwin, 32, was given a 12-month conditional sentence, including six months’ house arrest with conditions, and a curfew between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. during the final six months.
Last year, OrilliaMatters published a story detailing Aylwin’s and Brittany Schroeder’s charges for possession for the purposes of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
At the time, OPP reported it had seized $25,000 worth of drugs, including MDMA, suspected psilocybin (magic mushrooms), cocaine packaging, a digital scale, a vacuum sealer, cash, and numerous cellphones.
All the charges against Schroeder were withdrawn earlier this year.
