Ramara Fire and Rescue Services is currently accepting applications for its 2024 Volunteer Firefighter recruitment until Nov. 1.
If you have questions about the recruitment process, we are hosting an Informational Open House on Oct. 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Fire Station 2, at 85 Patricia Drive in Atherley. Come by to meet other firefighters and get your questions answered!
The Township of Ramara has three fire stations and approximately 90 volunteer firefighters who respond from these stations. They handle an average of 450 calls yearly, covering fire, medical, rescue, and specialty services. Ramara Fire and Rescue Services is also committed to prevention, education, training, and emergency response.
Those interested in becoming volunteer firefighters can learn more about the department, including time commitments, benefits, the application process, and how to access the online application form by visiting www.ramara.ca/VFF. Paper applications are available during business hours at the Township Administration Building at 2297 Highway 12 in Brechin.
