Local students will be scaring up support for charity on Halloween.
Orillia Secondary School is encouraging people to drop off food donations at the school (at the corner of Collegiate Drive and Park Street) between 5 and 7 p.m. on Oct. 31. The donations will go to local food banks and other charitable organizations.
Some students will also be going door to door, asking for food donations. They will have flyers to ensure residents they are part of the Orillia Secondary School effort.
The initiative, called We Scare Hunger, is being organized by students who are part of Me to We, which encourages and supports youth-led charitable endeavours.
