There are 10 new COVID-19 cases being reported in schools across Simcoe County today.
Currently, there are 38 total active COVID-19 cases being reported by local school boards at Simcoe County schools as of 4 p.m. on Nov. 1.
The Simcoe County District School Board has 17 confirmed active cases at nine schools listed. They are:
- Assikinack Public School, Barrie, eight cases, four classrooms closed. This school has been in outbreak since Oct. 22.
- Hewitt's Creek Public School, Barrie, one case, one classroom closed.
- Honourable Earl Rowe Public School, Bradford, one case
- Innisfil Central Public School, one case, one classroom closed.
- Orchard Park Public School, Orillia, two cases, two classrooms closed.
- W. H. Day Elementary School, Bradford, one case, one classroom closed.
- West Bayfield Elementary School, Bayfield, one case.
- Willow Landing Elementary School, Barrie, one case, one classroom closed.
- Innisdale Secondary School, one case.
According to the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board, there are currently 26 active cases spread across eight schools:
- Father F.X. O'Reilly Catholic School is reporting one case, and one classroom closure
- Holy Cross Catholic School, Innisfil, nine cases, four closed classrooms. This school has been in outbreak since Oct. 22.
- Saint Gabriel the Archangel Catholic School in Barrie has one case and one classroom closure
- Sister Catherine Donnelly Catholic School in Barrie is reporting one case and one classroom closure today
- St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School in Barrie, seven cases and three classroom closures. This school has been in outbreak since Nov. 1.
- Two cases at St. Mary's Catholic School in Collingwood, with two classrooms closed
- Four cases and seven classroom closures at St. Joseph's Catholic High School in Barrie
- One case at St. Peter's Catholic Secondary School in Barrie, two classroom closures
The MonAvenir Catholic School Board has reported two students who attend ÉÉC Samuel-de-Champlain in Orillia have tested positive for COVID-19 between Nov. 2 and 3. Two classrooms have been closed.
La Source Elementary School in Barrie, which is part of the Conseil scolaire Viamonde board reported one active case on Oct. 29.
