Simcoe County 4 Palestine invites the community to join us in Orillia for a vigil for Gaza to mourn the 40,000+ lives taken in Gaza by Israeli forces since October 2023, and the hundreds of lives taken in the West Bank and Lebanon. The ongoing genocide and assault on these regions continues with impunity and no end in sight.
WHEN: Saturday, October 12th, 2024
9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
WHERE: Corner of Mississaga and West Street, Orillia
This gathering offers a space to acknowledge and share our grief, so no one has to carry it alone. Space will be made for attendees to share a few words, a song, or a poem. We also invite people to bring signs, flags, candles, flowers, or any offerings they would like to share.
This event is being held by Simcoe County 4 Palestine in partnership with Green Orillia, Jewish Alliance of Simcoe, and Lakehead University Student Union.
