With multiple scenarios under consideration, including a decision to redevelop the current site or move to a new location, Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital is inviting the community to a Town Hall meeting Wednesday, July 4, 7 p.m. at Branch 34 of the Royal Canadian Legion.

The meeting will review each of the options currently under consideration and invite audience questions and feedback.

“In our most recent business case analysis of the options, the idea of moving to a new location scored equally in comparison to redeveloping the current site,” said Pat Campbell, OSMH President and CEO, who was quick to point out that no decision has been made, and no particular site has been identified.

Three of the four options under consideration would see the hospital remain at its current location with redevelopment occurring through phases of demolition and construction that could take more than two decades to complete.

The hospital’s goal is to identify the preferred option by fall 2018 and then submit to the Province for consideration and funding approvals.

All are welcome to attend the Community Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, July 4 at 7 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion.
