ORILLIA FIGURE SKATING CLUB

It's been a busy few weeks for Orillia Figure Skating Club athletes. Here's a recap, featuring some of the highlights.
Skater of March 2022
Chada Wichayasunan is a very focused, hard-working young lady. She listens carefully and tries her best to complete her tasks on the ice.
She is currently working on her Star 3 Freeskate, Star 7 skills and European dance. Outside of skating, Wichayasunan enjoys music. She plays the clarinet in her senior and jazz bands at school, plays the piano, and takes lessons outside of school.
In her free time, she volunteers at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. She is taught by Susan Scott.
Super Series Keswick
Skaters from the Orillia Figure Skating Club recently participated at the Super Series Competition in Keswick. The results are as follows:
- Ben Anderson 1st - Star 5 U10 Men’s Freeskate
- Lenna Elliott 3rd - Star 8 Women’s Freeskate
- Anastasia Baillie 3rd - Star 7 Women’s Artistic
- Haileigh Francis 2nd - Star 5 O13 Women’s Group 3 Freeskate
Milton Winter Skate
Skaters from the Orillia Figure Skating Club recently participated at the Milton Winter Skate Competition. The results are as follows:
- Lenna Elliott 3rd Star 8 Women’s Freeskate
- Ben Anderson 1st Star 5 U10 Men’s Freeskate
North Northwest Video Submission
Congratulations to Anastasia Baillie who finished third in Star 7 Artistic at the North Northwest Video Submission.
Provincial Skaters
Congratulations Anastasia Baillie, Hailey Irwin, Lenna Elliott and Ben Anderson!
These skaters, all from the Orillia Figure Skating Club, have qualified for the Skate Ontario Provincial Championships. These four skaters have worked extremely hard over the course of the 2021-2022 season to maintain a qualifying score to allow them to compete at the provincial level.
