The lawn bowling season wrapped up for 2024 with OLBA Open Singles Tournament, In-house Fun Day, and the Open Triples Tournament.

Ontario Lawn Bowling Association (OLBA) Open Singles Tournament:

Greg Irvine of Orillia took the title at the recent OLBA Open Singles tournament hosted by the Orillia Lawn Bowling Club.  Sixteen players from across the region and beyond battled it out in the drizzle and cool temperatures over six 10-end games.  Although the field was made up mostly of out-of-towners, Orillia took the top spot.

Last In-House Fun Day of the Season:

Club members managed to ward off the rain for the last Fun Day of the season.  The Annual General Meeting was conducted over a savoury luncheon put on by the dedicated kitchen staff.  After three unusual games, the top 10 players names were placed in a hat and winners drawn from there.  Prize winners were:  Alf Bard, Pauline Stewart, and Bonnie Walker.

OLBA Open Triples - Sponsored by Mr. Appliance:

The final Competitive tournament of the year was an Open Triples event attracting players from all over.  Each team was required to have at least one novice (a player of under 5 years experience) on their roster.
