The Orillia Lakers major bantam girls team, sponsored by P.D. Murphy Jewelers, were the recipients of the Ontario Basketball Association (OBA) fair play award.

To win, teams must be nominated by a coach, parent, official, or site convener who witnesses examples of sportsmanship, kindness, fair play, and playing with integrity.

The girls won the award by consistently being supportive and great teammates and their positive attitudes.

As a result of this award, the team will attend a week of basketball camp at Camp Olympia later this summer.
