The Orillia National Nutrition senior softball team, fresh off their recent league championship, earned a convincing year-end tournament victory in Bracebridge.
Orillia faced Wasaga Beach in the opening game and quickly moved on to game 2 with a 16-6 win.
Brian Gardy and Derrick Lafleur homered for Orillia while several players were perfect at the plate.
The National Nutrition seniors faced rival Barrie Legends in game 2 with similar results, a convincing 12-2 win with Rick Gardy and Lafleur smacking homers while several others were perfect at the plate.
Orillia then faced the remaining two-game winners, the Huronia Grey Jays, who had upset a favoured Barrie Kage team.
Huronia quickly put up five runs in their first at-bat, but Orillia promptly responded with five runs of their own.
Huronia would only get three more while Orillia tallied 11 more en route to a 16-8 triumph.
Once again, Brian Gardy and Lafleur cracked homers for the victors. Rob Milligan and Wayne Martin shared pitching duties for all three games.
