The U11A Investment Planning Counsel Orillia Terriers recorded two more win this past weekend to remain undefeated in league play and to stay on top of their York Simcoe league standings.
On Friday, Nov. 1 at Rotary Place, the home town squad skated to a 4-0 win over Richmond Hill. Heydon Mackaracher and Thomas Truemner were stellar in net for the shutout, Defensive player of the game went to Oliver Mclean.
Goals were scored by Tommy Skentzos (2), Callum Lebarr and Walker Cronan. Assists were tallied by Oscar Tillet (2), Kyle Dickson (2), Spencer Collet (2) and Rebekah Lacroix.
The next day the Terriers travelled to Orangeville where they overcame a slow start to tame the Bengals 8-3. Goals were scored by Brett Ericson (3), Owen Turner (2), Lebarr, Collet and Lacroix. Assists were tallied by Nash Butler (2), Brooklyn Reed, Cylas Knight, Ericson and Skentzos.
The two wins improve the Terriers record to 7-0 and they are in first place.
The team has shown remarkable resilience having yet to field a full healthy team in any game. Next up for the Terriers is a home game on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 1:10 at Rotary Place in west Orillia against the South Simcoe Storm.
