The McLean and Dickey Orillia Terriers had just one game this past week and earned a 6-4 victory over the Innisfil Spartans Saturday night before 360 fans at Rotary Place in west Orillia.

The Terriers came out fast, scoring two goals in the first three minutes, with Lleyton McLean and Dylan Palomaki bulging the twine. Brenner Boddy and Marcus Petroff increased the lead for the home side to 4-0 as the Terriers took a commanding lead into the second intermission.

In the second period McLean tallied his second of the game to increase the lead to 5-0 after two periods.

In the third, the Dogs came out flat and Innisfil stormed back with three straight goals to close the gap to 5-3 with three minutes left. Palomaki would give the Terriers some breathing room, and it was needed, as the Spartans would score a late goal to make the final 6-4.

The Terriers were led by McLean and Palomaki, who both notched two goals and two assists. Jordan Fuller had four assists, while Aidan Jerry was in net for the victory.

With the win, the Terriers improve to 11-2-1, good enough for third place in the Carruthers Division standings; they are one point behind second-place Stayner and five points behind perfect Alliston (14-0)

The Terriers next action is Thursday against rival Stayner in Stayner; the Terriers will be looking to avenge an 8-7 OT loss earlier in the year.

The next home game is Saturday, Nov. 9 against Innisfil, followed by a rare Sunday (Nov. 10) home game against Penetang. Puck drop for both games at Rotary Place is 7:30 p.m.
