Orillia OPP charged a motorcycle driver with impaired driving after a tip from a member of the public.

Officers responded to a complaint saying a male appeared intoxicated and was having trouble getting on his motorcycle in the Peter Street North and Mississaga Street East area.

"Upon speaking with the driver, officers noted numerous signs of the driver being intoxicated by alcohol and entered an impaired driving investigation," says a news release issued by Orillia OPP.

"The male was taken to a local detachment where it was determined that he was impaired and registered three times the legal limit."

As a result, 38-year-old Ian Zondervan of East York was charged with:
    •    Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 plus
    •    Operation While Impaired - Alcohol and Drugs

Zondervan received a 30-day licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 14-days.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
