The area around a main intersection in downtown Orillia remains closed this evening following a multi-vehicle crash that might have also included a takedown from tactical officers.
It appears there was a three-vehicle crash on Coldwater Street, near Peter Street, in front of St. Paul's United Church late this afternoon.
There are reports online that a tactical unit was on scene and may have arrested someone.
However, Orillia OPP officials have not responded to multiple requests for information.
As of 6:30 p.m. there were still multiple OPP vehicles and multiple officers on scene and the stretch of Coldwater Street around the church remained closed.
