A Mississauga resident has been charged with impaired driving after police say they struck a snowbank in front of an OPP officer Monday morning in Springwater Township.

At about 8:15 a.m. on Feb. 3, the driver swerved into oncoming traffic and hit a snowbank before getting back into the original lane of travel, according to a news release from Huronia West OPP. The officer then conducted a traffic stop.

Nina McCormack, 62, has been charged with operation while impaired (alcohol and drugs).

None of the allegations have been tested in court.
