Flipped SUV blocked Hwy. 400 during morning commute through Barrie

OPP says there were no injuries reported or charges laid in the incident, which happened in southbound lanes near Bayfield Street

At around 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, OPP officers responded to the scene for a flipped SUV in the southbound lanes of the Highway 400. There were no injuries reported or charges laid in the incident.

Early morning commuters got an eye-opener Wednesday as they navigated around an overturned vehicle in the middle of Highway 400 near Bayfield Street in Barrie.

The OPP says officers responded to the scene around 6:15 a.m. on Feb. 19 for a flipped SUV in the southbound lanes of the highway.

There were no injuries reported or charges laid in the incident, OPP Const. Scott Stratton said.

“A couple of lanes were blocked while they righted and removed it … around 8 a.m. the highway was cleared,” he said.
