A 31-year-old Barrie man faces child-pornography charges after an arrest on Friday.
On Nov. 1, city police say detectives from the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit arrested the man after a two-month investigation.
The man is charged with accessing child pornography and possession of child pornography. He was held for bail hearing.
The name of the accused was not released.
Barrie police say the investigation allegedly confirmed that the accused used Discord, a social-media gaming network, to upload child pornography.
The ICE unit executed a search warrant as part of the ongoing investigation at the residence of the accused and seized several computer devices containing child pornography, police said.
