A man has been arrested after brandishing a replica handgun in downtown Bracebridge.
At 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, Bracebridge OPP responded to the report of a man holding what appeared to be a handgun at the corner of Manitoba Street and Taylor Road. It was determined to be a replica gun.
Police have not released the name of the accused or any charges that have been laid.
“Members of the public are reminded that every firearm must be treated seriously as though it is real until proven otherwise to ensure everyone’s safety,” police said in a news release.
