A Midland man is facing sexual assault charges stemming from an investigation that began last month.
At about 8 p.m. Wednesday, police executed a search warrant at a Manly Street residence, where they arrested a man who was the subject of “a number of criminal investigations within the Town of Midland commencing on Sept. 17,” Southern Georgian Bay OPP said in a news release.
Michael Keith L’Enfant, 32, has been charged with the following:
- Sexual assault (two counts)
- Sexual assault with a weapon (three counts)
- Administering a noxious thing (two counts)
- Communicating for purposes of obtaining sexual services (two counts)
- Overcoming resistance
- Failure to comply (four counts)
He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police said they will not be releasing further information because the matter is before the court. However, they believe there could be more victims.
