Driver charged with impaired after getting stuck on Hwy. 11: OPP

Two drivers are facing impaired driving-related charges after two separate incidents in Bracebridge, Gravenhurst

One driver was charged with operation while impaired by drugs.

Two people were handed impaired driving charges in Bracebridge and Gravenhurst recently, the Ontario Provincial Police say.

On Jan. 11, at 2:40 p.m., officers were conducting an investigation and interacted with a driver in the area Southbank Drive in Bracebridge. After the interaction, police charged Brittany Gemmill, 30 with failure, refusal to provide a breath sample.

Then on Monday, at 7:30 p.m., someone called police to report the condition of a driver who had their vehicle stuck in the snow on Highway 11 South at Doe Lake Road in Gravenhurst.

Officers went to the scene and ended up arresting 36-year-old Justin Legg of Bracebridge and charged him with operation while impaired by drug.

Gemmill is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 4 while Legg is scheduled for Feb 11.
